I have been a huge fan of Martha Wells for years. I sincerely appreciate her writing, one element that stands out prominently is her ability to construct expansive and immersive worlds. Furthermore, each of these worlds she creates possesses a distinctiveness and inventiveness that never fails to captivate me.

With that in mind, let’s discuss her latest novel – Witch King. This world is explosive and so incredibly imaginative. I was whisked away and wouldn’t have had it any other way. Interestingly, the plot itself alternatives between two points in time. This enhances several parts of the story while increasing the overall tension. In other words, it was well done.

I’ll be straight with youβ€”Witch King is a weighty tome. With 432 pages, the plot is equally intricate and dense. However, I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone interested in high fantasy, epic sagas, and detailed worldbuilding. Witch King delivers on all these fronts and more.
