I enjoyed reading the Traitor Son. Within reading the first few pages, I became hooked. We follow Remin of Andelin who fought and survived a brutal war. Remin was gifted not just only land but also a bride Ophele, who is the exile princess, the daughter of the divine emperor. This story will take the reader on a ride of emotions, laughter, sadness, hopeful, angry and so much more. To be honest, I felt so vulnerable with my emotions as I continued to read, but I was okay with it. As the story continued on, the reader learns about the back stories of the main characters (thats when I became my most vulnerable) and how much they have gone through in their young lives. The author did an amazing job crafting a story that has pain but also love, and how it can help heal even the most broken person.

I loved the character development, and what is becoming of them. In all honesty, I was never a big romance fan, doesn’t matter what genre. However, I would catch myself rooting for moments when Remin and Ophele were having a moment. I cannot not say enough about how well the story and the world-building were written. I did not want to put it down for a second, but with every turn of a page I delve deeper into the story and adventure in hopes it will never end. I cannot wait to read the second book!
