About the Book:
Juliette was the first to arrive for girl’s night out at The White Peacock; a dull bar promising a lack of men on the prowl. She attracted many, yet felt they just weren’t worth meeting, and after her last two disastrous dating efforts, a quiet bar suited her just fine. But in life, change is the only certainty. It is inevitable, in fact, and in the blink of an eye, her life would change forever.

My Review:
I had this short story on my kindle forever! I’m trying to go through and clean up my kindle and either start reading what I have or deleting books that I no longer have an interest in.

I had no idea what this story was about but I LOVE peacocks and was completely drawn to the cover. Seeing that it was a short story, I decided to dive in and give it a try.

This is a paranormal fantasy romance. I don’t read romances very often, but when I do, I prefer a paranormal twist to it. I really liked this short story. In a small amount of pages, the author had me extremely interested in both of the main characters. They were personable, interesting and had chemistry. And the paranormal twist had my jaw drop. Now I want to go find Book 1 in the series, which I guess is the whole point of a short story prequel. Well done!
