This was my first mafia suspenseful romance book, and I loved it! I loved the beauty and the beast aspect and how the MMC has a complete 360°change after the FMC went through some major trauma. The twist of the MMCs real identity was not expected but I liked how the forgotten ends up banding like some Men in Black/Robin Hood family.
The FMCs sister and friend were a delightful comic relief to the suspense in the storyline. I loved the contrast from the FMC versus her sister and friend. The supporting characters that worked for the MMC were a hoot. I especially loved the MMCs reaction in the end about the FMCs love for smutty books and Big Band music. I can’t wait for book #2.
