What a nice, cozy read! I love Ms. Patrick’s books for this very reason. They are an easy read but there’s always substance to them. Perfect feel-good books and this was no exception.

Through fate, 5 random people ended up at a “little Italian” hotel. They were unknown to each other but each was suffering heartache, for different reasons.

Each character became a favourite for me. They were all vulnerable when they arrived, they were all seeking peace in their souls. They bond, though some of them bond more quickly than others. It’s a journey of self-discovery for all of them.
The hotel, itself, is a character. It’s not a posh, fancy hotel. It’s a cozy and personal place with a wonderful host. Both the hotel and the host play a major part in the story.

The way the story ended left it open for a possible sequel. I wonder…
