It’s been a hot minute since I read a legal thriller. I think it’s been even longer since I read one based in my home state. So, I knew right away that I would have to give The Intern a solid chance.
If you’re in the market for a fresh legal thriller, don’t miss The Intern. It’s intense, gripping, and filled with a substantial dose of family drama! If that aligns with your taste, you’ll find the unfolding events here enjoyable.
Overall, I’d say that The Intern was a solid read. However, my main issue with the book revolves around the characters. I found it challenging to connect with any of them. Madison comes across as assertive and somewhat one-dimensional. Judge Conroy often feels like a mere pawn in the narrative, and discussing Madison’s mom is a whole other story – not a pleasant one, to say the least.
