I read The Guest List by Lucy Foley as part of my in-person book club. This was a perfect book for that because there are so many things to discuss and i think everyone will have an opinion  about everything that happened in this book. I know everyone in my book club all had different opinions.

Synopsis:

At a wedding on an remote island off the coast of Ireland a body is discovered. We follow multiple perspectives, the bride, the bridesmaid, the best man, the plus-one, the groom and the wedding planner. Who turns up dead and more importantly who committed the crime?

My review:

This was a solid murder-mystery. I did not see the end coming at all. I loved the remote island location, that was truly the perfect setting for this style book. The remoteness, the terrible cell reception, and the fact that there is only one way on and off the island. The characters were not particularly likeable. There were only a few perspectives I actually enjoyed reading from. I like the way that you get to know each character before the actual body is discovered. I also liked reading from so many different perspectives, it really gives you a look in to each of their lives. Also you get to know each character first by being in their head and then by learning what the others think of them.

If you are a fan of atmospheric murder mysteries you are not going to want to miss this one.
