Sarah Gailey is here with another new thrilling adventure, this time with a novel that merges domestic suspense with cloning technology, in The Echo Wife. This is a novel that I have literally been counting down the days to, as I just knew that Gailey was going to throw dozens of surprises for readers to find.
Evelyn is a genius, and a very driven woman. She pushed the science behind cloning forward by decades, at minimum. Her breakthroughs have changed the field forever, though perhaps there is room to argue about whether that is a good thing.
It’s ironic, in a way, that such a smart woman missed the warning signs in her personal life. Now she’s once again single, and facing a major betrayal at the hands of her now ex-husband. And the clone that shares her DNA.
Wow. I knew that The Echo Wife was going to have lots of twists in it. Not only does a book with that description promise exactly that, but this is Sarah Gailey we’re talking about. Still, I was not mentally or emotionally prepared for all the twists and turns this book took.
To be clear, that is fantastic news. I love it when a thriller blows me away, and makes it impossible for me to predict how it’ll wind up. I love intelligent reads, and this is certainly one of them. It’s a book that will make you think, while also thrilling you to death.
All things considered, this is probably one of the more unique thrillers I’ve read, and I adore it for that fact alone. This is the perfect read for anybody looking for a novel full of science fiction and intrigue, with a dash of ethical dilemmas.

I gave this 4 stars, too. It was like a creepier version of The Stepford Wives!
