Tell No Lies is the second novel in Allison Brenna’s Quinn & Costa Thriller series – and it is a whirlwind of a read. Though perhaps not one for the faint of heart, as this time, our two detectives/agents are delving into a dark world of murders and cults.

In the wilds near Tucson, something horrible is occurring. Animals are getting killed at an alarming rate. When one young intern set out to find the cause, she instead met her end. That’s what brought the case to Quinn and Costa’s attention.

It didn’t take too long for Detective Quinn and Agent Costa to realize that something very dark happened in this isolated region. Every turn digs up more gruesome evidence, and there’s only so much time that they will have to bring the case to a close – before it’s too late.

I was pleasantly surprised by how rich, and complex Tell No Lies was. There were so many twists and turns, and it somehow managed to surprise me every time. This was far from being a straightforward thriller, and I loved how much it made me think.

While Tell No Lies is the second novel in the series, there’s no requirement to read the first – I was able to jump right in here, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience! I’m already looking forward to the next book in the series.
