This book was a breath of fresh air when it comes to fantasy. Instead of the heroine being in her early 20’s or teens, she is 60 years old. The main character Jun stumbles upon an unconscious man that may or may not have known anything about a prophecy. You will join Jun, her bestfriend Casey and Aurel on an adventure to find answers for questions that have been unanswered. You will fall in love with each character and their personalities. The author did a wonderful job writing the characters and showed how different they were from the beginning of the story to the end of the story. The story was written well and it was easy to follow along. Usually in fantasy there are a lot of characters and a lot of voices, sometimes it can become difficult to follow. I did not have that problem while reading this book. The book is an enjoyable read and it is also short. I did not want this story to end, I am hoping that I can read more from this author. This book is definitely one of the top fantasy books of the year for me!
