This memoir will stick with me for a long time. This story allows those who are not familiar with personality disorder’s a look into a sociopath’s life. It was interesting and dare I say intriguing being able to look through someone else’s point of view when they are trying to make an understanding of being diagnosed as a sociopath. What was interesting to me was learning more about emotions and how the emotions that we feel do not always align with the situation. The author revealed pretty much all of herself; she didn’t sugarcoat to make reading easier; she told her story as is. As the memoir continues, I am hoping for good things on the next page, in Patric’s life. What I enjoyed about this memoir is being able to watch as Patric tries to find herself and deal with life as a person who is diagnosed with sociopathy. This memoir demonstrates that those who are struggling with mental health are not defined by the diagnosis and we are not alone.
