This was a really fun take on vampires and vampire slayers. Think Buffy, but the Spike season, with more sass and violence. Raven has been thrown into the world of vampire hunting when she finds out that she’s a slayer, but she never expected what came to follow shortly after.

As a slayer, she ends up working with Khamari, the vampire Prince…really? Really, world? Yep. Of course. So as she trains and chooses her code name, Texas, she is forced to work with Khamari and can’t fight the draw she feels for him. Slaying vampires is one thing, but falling for one is another thing entirely.

A much bigger plot is in the works and Texas will soon find out that nothing, and no one, is as they seem. I liked the development of this, but overall it was a bit more juvenile than I expected for the rest of the content.
