If you’re in the mood for a captivating tale of vengeance served cold, I strongly recommend checking out She Started It. However, it’s important to note that this story doesn’t rely heavily on mystery. Don’t be surprised if you figure out the big twist within the first few chapters (I did).
Once the plot becomes clear, the narrative transitions swiftly from a thriller to a gripping revenge story. There’s no other way to interpret it. Initially, I almost considered stopping my reading once I pieced everything together, but I ultimately chose to continue.
I’m glad I made that decision. Despite this book being a straightforward read, I must admit that it was exceptionally well-crafted and written. Sian Gilbert’s writing style kept me hooked, even knowing how things would eventually turn out. I found it nearly impossible to set the book aside, and that’s a win in my book.
