Have you ever stumbled across a cover that was so pretty that you just knew you had to read the book? That happens to me a lot, especially with indie novels. Enter Reflections of Destiny by Benzon Ray Barbin.

Reflections of Destiny combines science fiction, fantasy, and thriller novels. Yes, you read that right. This immediately held my attention as somebody who loves a mashing of genres. It follows two characters, Enauria and Jaye DiVista; One is a battle heiress and the other a government assassin.

It’s been a hot minute since I got to dive into a sci-fi and fantasy novel that portrayed assassins and more (okay, probably not as long as it feels), but it was SO MUCH FUN to dive into this world. There’s a lot to learn, but it’s easy to get invested in the plot.

Reflections of Destiny is one of those novels that starts in media res, so that is something to be aware of before starting. However, once you get through the action, everything will become clear. And the ending will make it all worth it – I promise!
