Ohh! I love it when I stumble across a new (to me) author on one of my book boxes! I had never heard of Kia Abdullah before I spotted Perfectly Nice Neighbors, but she is getting added to my list of authors to watch!

It’s evident that she excels in portraying intricate social scenarios. While Perfectly Nice Neighbors may reach logical extremes by the story’s conclusion, it remains firmly rooted in reality. This grounding adds an extra layer of chilling realism to the narrative.

Who among us hasn’t experienced nightmares about ending up with an awful neighbor? That aspect alone is relatable. Factor in escalating social tensions, duplicitous behavior, a dash of family drama, and voila โ€“ the stage is set for the perfect storm.
