When Brenda got married to Colin, she never expected that on reaching their 30-year anniversary that she would want to leave her husband. Brenda and Colin have two daughters, Zara and Millie, who planned a special 30th year anniversary trip for their parents to the place where they got married, Las Vegas! After finding a picture of them in Vegas around the time they got married, they reached out to Aiden Gregg, the son of one of their parents’ old friends. Aiden has his own relationship issues, so he jumps at the chance to have his parents, who are divorced, go with him to Vegas to surprise Brenda and Colin. But none of them expected that one moment 30 years ago changed everything would be revealed.

Shari Low has found a forever reader in me. This is my second book from Low, and she always has such a way with words, and such a fantastic way of intertwining story lines. While the story doesn’t focus solely on one relationship, Low still gives each relationship enough time within the novel for the reader to really understand them. I enjoyed that Low kept the relationships realistic as well. One couple is divorced and sort of bitter toward each other and the other is drifting apart. These are things that happen in real life; especially the drifting apart over the years. How many times have I heard someone say β€œI love you but I’m not in love with you anymore” in a relationship? Low also did a great job of the families supporting each other and Brenda and Colin trying to stay positive. This is the ultimate feel-good book. I highly recommend this book to anyone that likes romance with a hint of mystery.
