Cat’s Picks:
The Collective – At this point we all knew that I was going to nab the thriller on the list, right? The Collective, written by Alison Gaylin is the story of Camille Gardner – a grieving and angry mother. This is the tale of how far she will go to right the wrongs in her life.
With a pitch like that, there was no way I was going to be able to turn down The Collective. I’ll confess that the stunning (and boldly red) cover had a bit to do with my choice as well, but what can I say?
How to Marry Keanu Reeves in 90 Days – How to Marry Keanu Reeves in 90 Days is a road-trip rom-com with a very clever name (one that makes me think of How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days). I think you can probably guess what the subject of this book will be!
This month I just felt like trying something different, and How to Marry Keanu Reeves in 90 Days fit that bill. It looks quirky and cute, plus seems like it’ll be a nice light read. That’s sort of what I need right now, truth be told. Here’s hoping it delivers on that promise!
Silverview – My final choice for this month was not part of November’s choices, but rather a new add-on for BOTM. I love that they keep supplying the add-ons because I need that variety in my life! Silverview makes for my second thriller of the month, written by John le Carre.
Silverview brings John le Carre back to the world of writing – and spy thrillers. In this novel duty and morality will clash heads, giving readers lots to think about. At least, that is what I’m hoping for!
