There are a few authors where I will buy their books, descriptions unread. This is especially true for thrillers – I like the surprise! Lisa Jewell is one of those authors, so I went into None of This Is True with no idea of what to expect.
None of This Is True presents two distinct perspectives: Josie’s and Alix’s. I initially struggled with distinguishing between the two in my mind. I believe this was more a reflection of my attention span at the time rather than a fault of the book itself. However, I might be mistaken, so please share if you encountered similar challenges at the outset.
Furthermore, I must highlight that this book doesn’t shy away from delving into dark themes. After all, it’s the work of Lisa Jewell, who is known for her edgy thrillers. So be sure to visit a trigger warnings list if you’re worried.
None of This Is True is a must-read for fans of Lisa Jewell’s work. It embraces darkness and cleverly explores the podcast/viral show theme. It’s an exhilarating read, and you won’t be left disappointed.
