You know how sometimes you come across a book that takes a big swing? My Murder is one of those books. It’s unlike any other mystery/thriller I’ve read. In this case, that statement is both good and bad.
The initial intrigue of unraveling one’s own murder makes for a compelling start to the mystery. However, it soon becomes apparent that there’s less mystery-solving than expected. There are several twists in the mix that test this assumption at times, but overall it wasn’t the story I was hoping for.
In the end, I admire the inventive concept behind My Murder. Yet, I can’t help but feel that its execution wasn’t as flawless as it had the potential to be. Nevertheless, it was a worthwhile read! If you’re seeking something distinctive, I recommend giving it a try.
