Every month BOTM makes five to seven books available to subscribers, plus a plethora of add-ons to choose from. Here are Cat’s choices for the month!

May’s BOTM choices are:

-The Collected Regrets of Clover (Contemporary Fiction)
-Yours Truly (Romance)
-The Last Word (Thriller)
-Did You Hear About Kitty Karr? (Historical Fiction)
-The Half Moon (Literary Fiction)
-Paper Names (Literary Fiction)

It’s odd – I think this is the first time this year I haven’t gotten a full box (read: three books). You’d think it would have been easy this month, given the number of choices…but I just wasn’t feeling most of them. Oh well, time to get caught up on my backlog, I guess?

Cat’s Picks:

The Last Word
– The famous Taylor Adams is back with another thriller! This time the story follows a house-sitter, Emma Carpenter. What should have been a normal job turns into a thing of horror – all because she left a negative review on a horror novel.

Ohhh! I knew I was going to grab the latest Taylor Adams novel, regardless of what it was, but wow! That description is compelling (I swear I’m not just saying that as a book reviewer! Though it does add a layer, right?).

Stay tuned later this month for my review of The Last Word!

Warrior Girl Unearthed
– Warrior Girl Unearthed follows a group of people (labeled misfits) as they fight and struggle to reclaim their Indigenous heritage. By taking back items that were forcibly taken from them, in proper heist fashion, of course.

Warrior Girl Unearthed is not one of the main picks for May’s BOTM, but it is a new add-on! As a huge fan of Angeline Boulley’s work, I knew this one was going in my box. It’s not going to be a light read, but I know it’s going to be amazing.

Stay tuned later this month for my review of Warrior Girl Unearthed!
