A thought-provoking and insightful look into what makes a good leader as well as the common mistakes that can be made in a leadership role and ways to avoid them. The book itself is bite-sized, broken down into easily digestible sections filled with knowledge. Using both general examples and military examples, Dr. Prokop breaks down these leadership principles into an easy to follow guide, suitable for those new to leadership roles but also seasoned leaders.

My main takeaway from this book is that leaders always have to keep moving forward – to keep learning, both about their circle and about themselves. To keep growing and working to build the most positive and constructive culture they can, but not only that, to lead by example.

Perfect length and chapter length to use within a professional development book group, or with your work colleagues. Most of the earlier chapters have discussion questions after them while some of the later chapters do not, but have a larger list at the end of the book. (Not sure why, likely due to those sections being shorter in length.)

In addition to the array of knowledge within its pages, the book also has a beautiful cover that will look stunning on any professional development fans bookshelf!
