This was a very heartfelt story that intertwines the lives of three women. There is Bernadette, who is finally leaving her cheating husband. Then there is Marge, who has a secret from her daughter. Lastly, we have Amber, who is finally opening herself up to love. Like most of her “One” titles, this book takes place over a single day that transforms the characters’ lives.

I was fully engaged throughout this story. It was emotional, romantic, and I loved the theme of second chances. It was heartfelt and charming with relatable characters that feel real and have messy lives. This is one thing Low excels at. I felt invested in these women, their struggles, hopes, and regrets. I loved the moments of “what if,” because who hasn’t thought that? Low’s writing style is easy to read and get into. I know this is the usual with the author, but she managed to make this one feel fresh and new.

The emotions I felt and the uplifting way she tells a story make it worth reading every time. What’s better than a charming, life-affirming story? Especially one that deals with love, loss, and dealing with the past. Low’s books are always honest and make the reader realize that it’s the small things and quiet moments that make up a good life. Always thoughtful without being too heavy-handed, Low’s books are always a thoroughly enjoyable and uplifting read about love, forgiveness, and second chances.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.
