Cat’s Picks:

I’m so excited about this month’s BOTM box, and not just for the obvious reasons! Okay, getting three books is always cause for excitement in my world. But I was also lucky enough to complete my BOTM Read Challenge early, so my reward arrived with this month’s box! (Spoiler Warning) the socks are SO cute and comfortable and make for the perfect treat.

Half Sick of Shadows – I automatically grabbed Half Sick of Shadows by Laura Sebastian as my primary BOTM choice. It has a stunning cover and is the fantasy pick for the month. Both of those alone would have been enough to make me happy! That being said, I am fascinated by the description, which promises a retelling an Arthurian myth. Yes, please! – Check back on June 19 for Cat’s review!

The Maidens – It was a tough choice for my second pick this month, as there were several tempting goodies available. I ended up going with The Maidens, which happens to be the thriller selection for this month. I’m a sucked for a good thriller, and The Maidens is one I’ve been hearing so much about! – Check back on June 27 for Cat’s review!

Aftershocks – My final choice for this month is an add-on, and thus not part of the five listed above. I went with Aftershocks by Nadia Owusu, a book that has been on my TBR list for way too long. I’m hoping to fix that this month, and cannot wait to read Owusu’s tale! – Check back on June 26 for Cat’s review!

Allyson’s Picks:

Malibu Rising – I chose Malibu Rising for this month’s BOTM pick. This book follows the Rivas, a famous family, as they throw their annual end-of-summer party. I have been looking forward to Malibu Rising’s release all year. I have heard amazing things about Taylor Jenkins Reid’s writing but have not had the opportunity to read any of her books yet. When it was announced as the month’s book club pick for our group (to join our book club follow us on Instagram) I decided to finally pick up one of her books!

Home Before Dark – I also added Home Before Dark by Riley Sager. A family moves into a Victorian estate and starts to experience terrifying things. I have been really into reading horror and mysteries for the past couple of months and I have been wanting to read one of Riley Sager’s books for a while. This seemed like the perfect time to grab one to try out!
