From the description of this book, I thought it was something right up my alley. A young woman loses her parents, and her uncle is in charge of estate. She has to be married in order to inherit estate so she finds a temporary husband. A
The Lusitania voyage was included.

Unfortunately, I did not read far enough into the description. My own fault. It takes place during WW 1, which is fine. And, we all know what happens with the Lusitania. But, it turns into a fairly complicated espionage story. My eyes started to glaze over. It’s just not in my wheelhouse.

The relationship between the young woman and her fake fiancé was actually fun. They were actually suited to each other and their conversations bounced back and forth with humour and quick answers.

I’m glad there are lots of great reviews. It just wasn’t the story for me.

Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for the Advance Readers Copy.
