I’ll Laugh About This Later
Zoey Za

363 pages
Memoir
Published by Zoey Za Publications December 2020

I’ll Laugh About This Later is a collection of stories from the author’s life, from growing up in Hawaii to going to college and dealing with her mother’s mental illness. I related on so many levels while reading these snippets of her life. While Zoey Za is not her real name, I feel the mystery of it all made it more interesting. I could be walking down the street a whole year from now and not know if I pass by her. This makes her have many faces and I think that’s one of the things that make it that much easier to relate and put myself in her shoes. There are some awkward moments and it makes me reflect on my life and experiences I have had which is a goal when writing in my opinion. Overall I enjoyed this memoir. It’s not a genre I usually delve into but am pleasantly surprised with it. I give I’ll Laugh About This Later a solid 5 stars.
