I was looking forward to reading this book after I read all the great reviews. 3 couples go away to Portugal to celebrate one of their weddings. Of course, thing don’t go as expected.

Sadly, I was disappointed… it did not take long to remind me of a tedious soap opera. The interactions of the couples, the snide remarks just irritated me.

In fact, all of the couples irritated me. Perhaps I have chosen to read this book at the wrong time. I definitely do not feel the same as other reviewers. But, I kept slogging along until I was almost finished.

Then, a bit of redemption at the end. I hung in long enough.

I’ve always said that not every book is not for everybody. I know many would enjoy this as a beach read that is full of drama. I am just not that person.

Thank you to NetGalley for the advance readers copy.
