So…. I didn’t like Book 2 any better than Book 1. This type of book is right in my wheelhouse so it’s really unfortunate that it just didn’t click for me.

Most of the main characters from Book 1 are included. It didn’t feel like there was any growth to the characters. The new characters that were introduced seemed superficial, again. Most of the teens in the book are just over the top uncaring and uninteresting.

The murder mystery was quite boring for me and overall this book felt like an assignment that I had to trudge through to complete. This series is a big miss for me. I’ve heard the author is great, so I’ll try another one of his books in the future to see if I can get a better connection with his writing.

Thank you to #NetGalley for providing this book. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy and all views expressed are only my honest opinion.
