I have heard SO MUCH about Divine Rivals, so when it popped up for this month’s BOTM choices, I knew I had to try it out. (Side note: It also arrived in my OC box, so double-score!).
It is often said that opposite personalities are attracted to each other, but can they also become divine rivals? Iris Winnow and Roman Kitt lead very different lives, but something seems to keep them together.

The emotional depth of Divine Rivals took hold of my heart. It feels like the story will continue to linger long after the final page has been turned. At least, that seems to be the case so far!
There’s a lot going on within Divine Rivals. For example, there’s an enemies-to-lovers plot, wartime magic with battles involving gods, steampunk and historical themes, and so much more. It all adds to its captivating and emotional nature.

Divine Rivals is not a light read and delves into plots that evoke feelings and thoughts. It explores the complexities of love and loss during wartime, showcasing the many layers that come with it.
