One didn’t have to be a prince to be gallant.

Rose was left at the altar. Or was she? At first you don’t know what to expect, Chase is a bad boy Texas ranger and Rose is a good girl. Then Rose is the one chasing after Chase like a hound straight out of hell, wanting answers. She is such a force to be reckoned with once she’s out of her comfort zone, it’s like she’s a completely different woman. Then Chase is the one running after her, first to rescue her even though she rescued herself, straight to the altar to stop her marrying someone else. The author wrote this so eloquently and used language befitting the time of the story with similes as flavorful as Discouraged and mad as a wet cat. It is the first book in The Calhan Brides series and considering there’s several more brothers left, I look forward to reading about their love choices. Will they have as much moxie and gumption as Rose did?
