About the book:
A group of new friends. But can she trust them?
For struggling actress Ava, landing a role with the Chimera Theatre Group could lead to her big break. And relocating to a remote country village means stepping out from the shadow of her boyfriend―despite his determination not to let her go.
Everyone in the group seems so welcoming, they’re one big happy family. But, like all families, they each have secrets. And someone in the group doesn’t want certain secrets to get out…
My review:
The premise of this one reeled me in. Ava joins an out of town theater group, but when things start to happen, she is unsure of who she can trust. This is a slow burn mystery where everyone is a suspect and I couldn’t get a real read on what was going on or even who to put at the top of my suspect list. Everyone is definitely dysfunctional and hiding their own secrets. In addition to Ava dealing with this new dynamic, she has an (ex) boyfriend and parental issues.
If you are a fan of slow burn mysteries with dysfunction and secrets, you should give this one a read.
