A Fun-Filled Day Deserves a Good Night’s Rest

My Review

 

What a sweet tale of a bond between Moms and sons.  Taj gets ready for bed and does his routine including reading a story with his Mom and feeling his new sister kick from in his Mom’s belly before going to bed.  He is achy more than normal and they discuss his growing pains.

A nice way to alert a little one to the changes in their body without scaring them.  It’s a great story for a family to read together before bed.

The illustrations fit well with the story and add a little playfulness.  

About Jessica Jones:

 

Coined “the child that couldn’t sit still,” Jessica Jones has been on the move ever since she was young. From making mud pies in the dirt, creating fashion shows at home with her two sisters, dancing the night away in the basement to “I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll,” and playing every sport imaginable, Jessica has always been ready for an adventure.

Jessica is a former Division I student athlete, having played indoor volleyball for Ohio University and Florida International University while earning her degree in education. Years later, she played  professional beach volleyball for several different tours in the US.

Nowadays, Jessica is still on the move and pursuing her graduate degree at St. Edward’s University to become a licensed professional counselor. She loves to play with her two children and two dogs, travel with her partner, and check out bookstores all over the country. Mommy, Will You Massage My Feet? is Jessica’s first book, and she found it quite challenging to sit still while writing it.

About Susana Ramírez Solís:

 

Born in Spain, Susana Ramírez Solís studied architecture many years ago, and drawing and painting has been the biggest source of happiness in her life. Now she spends her days between digital and traditional brushes along with the warm company of her two kids in a small house in the countryside outside Barcelona. She enjoys illustrating stories to create new role models for kids so they can really see themselves in the books they read, feeling inspired and empowered.
