Black Sheep is not my first novel by Rachel Harrison. As such, she is a horror author to watch, as there is so much potential in her writing. This one may not have been my favorite, but it was still oddly compelling.

Despite having a firm grasp on the unfolding events and potential developments, I could not set aside this book. There was an irresistible quality to the writing that urged me to read straight through to the conclusion.

Black Sheep proved to be an engaging and shadowy literary experience. It may not cater to every reader, particularly those who have endured religious trauma or navigated emotionally distant parental relationships. It’s worth considering these factors before diving into the read.
