Every now and then the members of The Book Review Crew will be taking just a few minutes to talk about some noteworthy authors. They could be tall-time favorites, a new notable author, or an indiie author we feel deserves more attention.

Regardless of the reason, each author featured is the creator of novels we just can’t get enough of, and we’ll give you a brief introduction and idea of how to get started with their work of fiction!

Today’s author spotlight is: Kristy Nicolle

Who is Kristy Nicolle?

Kristy Nicolle is a young British writer famous for her quirky personality, adorable outfits, and fantasy worlds. There are many reasons to enjoy Kristy Nicolle’s writing, including the fact that her worlds were created as an escape as much for herself as for her fans. So you know she put her heart and soul into these worlds.

Her worlds have a full spectrum of fantasy, with lots of mermaids, unicorns, fairies, angels, and more. Oh, and did I mention that she loves including badass female leads? Yeah, that’s my favorite part too!

The reason I fell in love with Kristy Nicolle’s work is that it truly is the perfect escape. I found her on Facebook one day (gotta love FB reading groups!), and that was all she wrote. Literally, as the case may be, her unique blend of romance, humor, and fantasy will keep readers captivated for hours.

Series Starters

The Kiss That Killed Me – The Kiss That Killed Me is the first novel in Kristy Nicolle’s The Tidal Kiss Trilogy. If you love mermaids, then you’re not going to want to miss out on this series! It starts out in a surprising way, but before you know it you’re in a magical world.

The Opal Blade – The Opal Blade is the first novel in The Ashen Touch Trilogy, which also happens to have some of my favorite covers from Kristy Nicolle. Talk about a win-win, right? This series is borderline urban fantasy, but with stronger paranormal and romance tones, making it a delight to read.

Indigo Dusk – Indigo Dusk is the start of The Aetherial Embrace Trilogy, aka A Fallen Angel Fantasy Romance. If that title sounds descriptive to you, it’s because it is! Yet these books have so much more to offer, with some points that will hit your heart hard – especially in the beginning.
