This book centers around great food in cold weather (although that isn’t a requirement!).
I love how Kelley has tied all of the recipes together with her and her families love of all things snow! Not only does she have simple, easy to follow recipes using normal ingredients you can find in any grocery store, she also provides interesting side chats for snow lovers – her favorite mountains to ski, fun things to do in the snow for the family, etc.
Some of my favorite recipes from the book (and there is a lot) are Early Bird Granola, Pumpkin Crumb-Top Muffins, No-Bake Snickers Granola Bars, BackCountry Banana Bread Cookies, Chairlift Chickpea Salad, Mulled Cranberry Mimosa and White Russians. (I’m basically licking my lips as I’m typing this review and it’s summer….in Florida!)
The photographs are beautiful! Not just of the food but of the mountains and little ski towns. So pretty!
This would make a great Christmas gift for cooks/bakers that love winter and snow. It’s such a fun theme!
Thank you to #ChronicleBooks and #NetGalley for making this book available for review. All opinions expressed are my own.
