I’m new to rodeo romances but this was a treat to read. Hux was hilarious and grumpy where Quinn was shy and inexperienced with cowboys. She lit a fire inside of Hux that he didn’t see or realize he needed. On the other hand, he helped her mature and to fight her fears as well. True, that rodeo cowboys are usually grumpy or have no filter. Hux was entirely different. The ranch hands were just as colorful as the main stars of the book and the bonus rodeo stars were full of character as well. I loved meeting the family of Hux, and I could just imagine Blanche from “The Golden Girls” as Dotty. The scenery of Texas was vivid, and I could just imagine the fields of bluebonnets.
I enjoyed the different personalities of the cowboys, how they all collided together and somehow still meshed well with each other. I am excited to see where Whitney and her love interest go in the next book. So many big things happened at the end of the book, The writing was catchy and fresh, Hux had gene sei quoi that a normal cowboy would not be able to handle.
