I purchased this book because I liked the cover and because I had seen several people talking about how good this new book was. Well, I absolutely loved the book. It was fairly short and fast paced but very well written and kept my interest. The story is about a group of friends that grew up together. This is book one and contains the story of Brooke and Chase. They have loved each other from the moment they met. The horrible truth is that Chases brother also loves her. Nate is her best friend but decides that this summer is the summer he will come clean and claim her for himself. This position is a hard one for Brooke because no matter what she does she will hurt someone she loves. When Nate decides to put it all out there and confess his feeling…. This throws everyone into chaos and begins a tailspin of emotions and events. I love a good plot twist and she definitely delivered. This book elicited all the emotion from happy to mad and then back to sad. I definitely got emotionally attached to the characters. The character development was great! The only thing I can say I didn’t like was that it ended. I absolutely can’t wait for the next book in this series. In finishing this book, I messaged the author to tell her how much I liked it. She replied and we have chatted off and on since then. This is when I found out that this was the first book she had published. I am still completely shocked at this news. I look for great things to come our way from this lovely lady! If this is what a first book from her looks like I am definitely here to see what’s next! Now that you have read my little review go get that book!!
