In one of my reading challenges, to round out 2020, I needed to read a β.5β book. I decided to pick up this short Christmas story to fulfill that challenge prompt and Iβm so happy that I did. What a sweet story it was!
There were a few references to characters or events from previous stories, but only one was important to understand for this short story and I caught on to the thread of the storyline very easily.
Hamish Macbeth is called out by the townβs crankiest resident, to solve the mystery of the missing cat. Then Christmas trees and decorations are reported missing and the kids at school are all acting skittish when Hamish is invited in to speak in front of the class.
On the way to solving these mysteries, a cast of Scottish Highland characters keeps Hamish company throughout the Christmas holiday and has succeeded in creating a new fan.
This series is going on my TBR list! So cute!
