A Brief History of Living Forever is one of my April picks for the Aardvark Book Club. At least, I think it was for April. Time has lost all meaning. Anyway, I nabbed it because I loved the cover and its emotional promise.

I’ll be the first to admit that reading a book like A Brief History of Living Forever at this time (in my life) was a mistake. Due to two recent significant losses, this book affected me more than expected. This impacted in positive and negative ways.

Even though it wasn’t quite the book I wanted (needed? ), I am glad I read it. I hope you can understand what I’m saying. I adore the idea of a near (and gloomy) future with plausible circumstances twisted to a more sci-fi vibe.
