The Candle of Crest

Realmsic Conquest – Book 2

Demethius Jackson

Release Date:  May 14, 2021

Length: 1 hour, 49 minutes

The Candle of Crest is Book Two of The Realmsic Conquest Trilogy written by Demethius Jackson.  The story is a full-length production narrated by Demethius Jackson and  Vanessa Marroquin, complete with sound effects and music.

The story finds our heroes on a quest to find the Candle of Crest in order to heal the king and save a kingdom.  Will the evil Damian find the Candle first, or will Leoden, Normandy and Seku persevere for good?

This epic is told completely in verse.  While it does take the mind a few moments to get into the rhythm to follow the verse, once you get into the appropriate state of mind, it is quite easy to follow along.  The style does require the listener to  use their own imagination to help to insert the set details;, but who doesn’t already insert their own imagination into every story.

Having listened to this as a stand alone, I was not privy to the back story and was left with many loose ends that  I presume will be tied up in Book Three.  That said, however, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Many thanks to the author for providing me with a review edition.
